Meet corrie & neal

10.13.18
The day I will marry my best friend.  The one i laugh with, live for, dream with, and love.

Valentine's Day 2013. We had just met a couple weeks earlier at the Blind Pig Brewery, as Neal was in the friend group of a guy Corrie had gone on a couple dates with. There was chemistry from that first meeting at the bar and Corrie agreed to spend Valentine's day with Neal at one of his buddy's apartment's on a double date - although perhaps reluctantly. Corrie was babysitting a friend's dog and the pup had to be snuck into the apartment building where the double date was being held. That should have been a projection for Neal that many animals were to be in his future! The boys cooked dinner for the girls which was lovely and Corrie even drank whiskey on the rocks to try to impress :)
That evening solidified the desire to see each other more.

The first date

The proposal

Neal proposed during the total solar eclipse on August 21, 2017. Neal chose this date due to it's once in a life time occurrence to ask a once in
a lifetime question. Neal picked Corrie up from work to go to lunch at Molly's bar in Soulard. Neal chose to go here as it was directly in the path of total darkness, so a wonderful spot to see the eclipse. Corrie, admittedly, was not on alert at all. She truly believed they were just going to lunch, although she did think it was odd that none of her co-workers or other friends wanted to come with and watch the eclipse with them! (Neal had forewarned everyone of the impending proposal). Fast forward to the eclipse beginning and Corrie and Neal went outside to the bar patio and put on their eclipse glasses to watch the event. It was very neat to see the total blackout! So much so, that when Neal tapped Corrie on the shoulder to turn around, she didn't want to! It took a couple taps to get Corrie to turn from the eclipse to realize that Neal was down on one knee behind her.

Kristen Sylvester: Corrie and Kristen met during Corrie's first year of college during their sorority's bid day celebration. It was an instant
connection and the two spent the next 3 years living together and making countless memories. Kristen is selfless and kind and an all-around
wonderful human being. The pair's friendship has continued strongly past undergrad, grad school, law school, and real life and Corrie is so
honored and happy to have Kristen with her on her big day - she couldn't imagine her wedding any other way.

Tina Nannini: Corrie and Tina met very early on during Corrie's first year at college doing one of these two's favorite activity - horse back riding! Tina took Corrie under her wing as part of the University of Illinois' Equestrian Team and many a barn adventure were had together. Tina is the sweetest individual and one of Corrie's oldest and dearest friends who has been there for her through thick and thin

Becky Russe: Corrie met Becky when she moved to the St. Louis area in 2015 after a now legendary pink Smartpak hat incident! The two are kindred spirits and had an immediate bond that has felt like the friends have known each other a lifetime. Corrie is so grateful to have such a wonderful friend to share in life's gossip and adventures together!

Brandi Burton: Brandi is a breath of fresh air for everyone who meets her! Her energy level and motivation have driven her as she completes her last year of vet school at the University of Illinois. Corrie met Brandi when Corrie was a senior and Brandi came on to the college's equestrian team as a freshman. Always one to volunteer for anything and be up for any adventure, Corrie is lucky to have such an upbeat, amazing friend!

Rhiannon DiPalma: Corrie and Rhiannon met at HeplerBroom, LLC where Corrie was working as an attorney and Rhiannon as a Legal Secretary. Although both have moved on in their careers, the friendship has remained stronger than ever! Rhiannon is such a sweet person and a great listener. And, as a bonus, Rhiannon is Corrie's number one wine buddy who always seems to have the best taste!

Catherine Hesterberg: Corrie and Cat have been drawn to each other through their parallel drive in life for equestrian and career success. Often living mirrored lives in their respected fields of law and veterinary medicine, Corrie knows Cat is always one to understand and empathize. Corrie appreciates Cat's unwaveringly sincereness and looks up to her for the wonderful person she is.
